| velankanni Nagar is 1km from the kazipet parish church.One acer of land was bought by Fr.Lino Dal Balcon.His successor,Fr.antonello,built a small chapel,which was dedicaated to our lady of velankanni.It wasblessed by Most Rev.Thumma Bala on 5th September,1987.Every first saturday of the month and espically on 8th September.many devotees gather to honour our Lady.Thus ,the locality is called Vellankanni Nagar also. | ||
